Have you ever been really, really mad? Like so mad, everything turns … red?
Margaret knows how you feel. And when Margaret gets mad, she comes up with a plan—it’s time to run away!
... But what if no one comes looking for her? And where is this land of red she’s found herself in?
What happens when something that looks like it's from another planet is actually ... just like you?
In the life of a child, there can be so many ... feelings. Good thing there is the wisdom of nature to guide us through. And if these animal friends don't quite do the trick, you can always try folding some paper.
Welcome to the life of Geraldine Pu (that's pronounced well ... yes, like poo, but it's spelled P-U).
In the first book of the series, Geraldine Pu (and Her Lunchbox, Too), Geraldine cannot wait to see what scrumptious lunch her grandma has made for her. But her favorite part of the school day takes a dramatic turn when new kid Nico reveals his shocking opinion: he thinks her lunch is GROSS!
So begins a frustrating, funny, and exceptionally stinky tale of how Geraldine learns to embrace her heritage through food, take a stand in the face of bullies, and bring others together through kindness and openness. As told through the perspective of her beloved, trusty lunchbox Biendong (“Bee-in-dong”), this story’s narrator uses wit and charm to share how life can get horribly, hilariously messy before we get it right.
Other books in the series tackle topics from family ancestry to hair and bring back lovable characters such as Geraldine’s grandma, classmates, and of course, her quirky, narrating belongings.
So many things that start with the same letter!
Put in some pictures; it'll make it much better.
